What is Alzil tablet?
Alzil tablet is a cholinesterase inhibitor, prescribed for dementia of Alzheimer’s disease. It works by increasing the amount of acetylcholine in the brain, which helps in improving mental function.
Alzil Tablet contains Donepezil as an active ingredient.
When is it prescribed?
Alzil 5 Tablet is Prescribed for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease. It should be used in patients with moderate to severe Alzheimer’s disease.
How does it work?
Memory loss problem happens in Alzheimer disease because of disruption occur in signal transmission in the brain. Alzil 5mg tablet is a cholinesterase inhibitor. This tablet works by increasing the levels of a chemical messenger (acetylcholine) involved in the transmission of nerve signals. This improves memory and thinking.
How to Use Alzil?
Use this drug in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Don’t chew, crush or break it. Alzil 5 Tablet may be taken with food or without food, but it is better to use it at a fixed time.
What is the Dosage?
Missed Dose
Use the missed dosage as soon as you remember. If it’s almost time for your next dosage, skip the missed dose. Don’t double your dose to make up for the missed dose.
Overdose
Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the specialist in case of an overdose.

What Precautions Need To Taken care?
General Instructions/Warning
Take Alzil tablet at the same time every day. Do not use in larger amounts than advised. Consult the Specialist if you experience any adverse effects. Dno’ t take this tablet if you have any gastrointestinal disease and lung diseases.
When Not to Use?
Allergy
Not recommended in patients with known hypersensitivity to Alzil Tablet.
General warnings
Gastrointestinal bleeding
This drug is known to increase gastric acid secretion and may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. Inform the specialist if you have any symptoms of blood in stools and burning stomach. An alternative drug should be considered based on the clinical situation.
Seizures
This drug is known to cause generalized convulsions. Any symptoms of seizures should be informed to the doctor.
Pediatric use
The efficacy and safety have not been established in patients younger than 18 years.
Warnings for special population
Pregnancy
This drug is not recommended for pregnant lady unless necessary. The risks and benefits could be discussed with the specialist before taking this medication.
Breastfeeding
Don’t know about whether this medication is excreted in breast milk. It is not recommended in breastfeeding lady unless necessary. The benefits and risks could be discussed with the specialist before taking this medicine.
